Carpenter Ant Control
ANTS
(Soil Ants, Odorous House Ants Etc.)
ANYTHING OVER-THE-COUNTER THAT YOU SPRAY WILL CONTRADICT THE
EFFECTS OF OUR TREATMENT.
PLEASE DO NOT SPRAY!

These are the tiny dark ants that come out after the first warm
rain and invade your kitchen counters and bathrooms. You only
see about 10% of the colony that is in your walls or beneath
your home so if you see 10 or 20, your infestation is 100-200
strong. The product we use will draw these ants out for the
first 24-48 hours. During this time it is extremely imperative
that you do NOT spray anything on or attempt to kill them in any
way. They will carry the material back to the queen who will
then ingest it and excrete a substance that will feed the entire
colony eventually poisoning the population. There will be a
drastic reduction after the 2 day period and full results in
10-14 days.
CARPENTER ANTS
These are the large black ants that you often see outside near trees. They
are a wood-destroying insect and their main diet is termites. If you are
seeing these in your home, there is a good chance that termites are close
by. An inspection is necessary.

Carpenter ants are the largest of the ant family damage wood by excavating and creating galleries and tunnels. These areas are smooth and clean, with a well-sanded appearance and do not contain sawdust or other debris. The longer a colony is present in a structure, the greater the damage that can be done. If structural wood is weakened, carpenter ant damage can be severe. They are attracted to wood, which has been exposed to moisture. Carpenter ants tunnel and make nests in soft wood; however, they do not eat the wood. The wood is chewed and discarded outside the tunnel. The discarded shavings, which resemble sawdust, called frass, provide an indication of nesting areas. Often, the nest is extended into sound wood.
